The Trois-Rivières company, Sacs Frontenac, was granted a total financial assistance of $ 10.62 million, or $ 5.34 million from Investissement Québec and $ 5.28 million from the Economic Development Fund.
The company specializes in the manufacture and printing of paper bags of all kinds. This financial support will allow it to set up its third factory and to purchase the equipment necessary for the production of bags made from 100% recycled paper, as well as other recyclable, compostable and biodegradable products.
“Initiatives that combine economic growth and respect for the environment are a real guarantee of success in a transition to a green economy. This support will help increase the company’s production capacity and, at the same time, allow it to expand and continue to grow. This is excellent news for the economy of Trois-Rivières, ”says Sonia LeBel, Member of Parliament for Champlain and President of the Conseil du trésor.
