Thanks to the collaboration of the Société de transport de Trois-Rivières (STTR) and Scobus, the Artisans de la Paix will be able to distribute new Christmas gifts to more than 480 children.
STTR and Scobus offered to help with the home distribution of gifts, while changing Santa’s sleigh for a bus. Accompanied by workers from the Artisans, the Christmas bus crisscrosses the streets of Trois-Rivières until Friday, December 18.
For more than 30 years, the Artisans de la Paix have been making Christmas baskets for families and people living in poverty in Trois-Rivières. The baskets, valued at $ 150, allow people to have a Christmas dinner, but also to have food for the two weeks when the various organizations are closed for the holiday break.
Several campaigns allow the Artisans of Peace to carry out distributions, including Sous pour un Bout’chou – Bell Médias, the Guignolée des Médias, collection of street corners, deposit sites – including the libraries of Trois-Rivières and Les Rivières , etc.
