Centraide Mauricie donates $ 285,000 to organizations – L’


Centraide Mauricie administered a second cycle of investment of $ 287,804, paid by the Government of Canada, in essential services for vulnerable people in the community.

It was on October 5 that Centraide Mauricie launched a second call for applications for the Emergency Fund for Community Support (FUAC), a fund that provides financial support to charities and other qualified donees who adapt their frontline services to support vulnerable Canadians during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Centraide Mauricie, which has received more than 40 funding requests for programs and services that support vulnerable members of our communities, has seen 36 approved.

“We are proud of the excellent collaboration that has reigned between all the social development and health and social services authorities, which has led to the establishment and maintenance of solid partnerships. This made it possible to quickly use the large sums entrusted to us in order to adequately meet the needs of community organizations in our region, ”said Chantal Ferland, interim regional director of Centraide Mauricie.
