COVID-19: 36 new cases in Trois-Rivières – L’

In the past 24 hours, 56 new cases of COVID-19 have been reported in Mauricie and 40 in Center-du-Québec, for a regional total of 96 cases. In Trois-Rivières alone, there are 36 new cases.

The outbreak continues at the Cooke Shelter. Three units are currently affected. In the last day, three employees and four residents tested positive for COVID-19. Since January 8, 20 employees and 25 residents have contracted COVID-19 there.

In the region, the other cases are distributed in the MRC des Chenaux (+3), the MRC of Mékinac (+1), the agglomeration of La Tuque (+8), the MRC of Maskinongé (+4) and Shawinigan ( +4).

The CIUSSS MCQ also deplores two deaths in the community’s accommodation resources and one death at home since the last daily assessment.

There are also 33 (+1) people hospitalized for COVID-19, including five (+1) in intensive care.

The number of people recovered is 114.
