In the past 24 hours, 44 new cases of COVID-19 have been reported in Mauricie and 24 in Center-du-Québec, for a regional total of 68 cases. There are also five deaths in CHSLDs.
Of the number, 25 of the new cases are recorded in Trois-Rivières. In addition, there are 11 new cases in Shawinigan, two in the Maskinongé MRC and four in the La Tuque agglomeration.
Three residents of Unit D3 at the Cooke Accommodation Center have been diagnosed positive with COVID-19 since the last daily assessment, bringing the number of residents affected by the virus in this unit to 16. Two other units were also affected by an outbreak that began on January 8.
In Shawinigan, Résidence Val-Maurice also has new cases of COVID-19 among nine residents and one employee.
The number of hospitalizations remained stable over the last day with a total of 33 people hospitalized. The portrait in the intensive care sector also remained unchanged, while 6 people were taken care of there.
