In the past 24 hours, 158 new cases of COVID-19 have been reported in Mauricie / Center-du-Québec. This increase represents 55 additional cases in Mauricie and 103 for Center-du-Québec.
There are also eight deaths related to COVID-19 in the last day, six in community housing resources and two at home.
In Mauricie, the new cases are distributed in Trois-Rivières (+32), Shawinigan (+11), the MRC de Maskinongé (+5), the agglomeration of La Tuque (+6) and in the MRC des Chenaux (+ 1).
The number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 decreased by 1 person, bringing the total to 46 hospitalizations. For the intensive care sector, we rather observe an increase of 1 hospitalization while 2 people are treated there. Unfortunately, we deplore 6 deaths in housing resources in the community and 2 at home. We extend our sincere condolences to families and loved ones.
The number of people who have recovered is 124.
In addition, 2,199 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered on the territory of the CIUSSS MCQ since the start of the vaccination campaign.
