About thirty employees of Le Grec are in the kitchen and volunteer their time to prepare a holiday menu for families and people in need in Mauricie. In total, this will allow the distribution of 365 meals to organizations in the region.
“The values of the Greek are still very much in 2020. Usually, every year, we welcome several groups and offer them a meal. With the pandemic, we unfortunately had to put aside this beautiful tradition, ”says Ioanna Yannopoulos, co-owner of Le Grec.
Concretely, Le Grec participates by providing food, its facilities and, of course, a gang of enthusiasts who could not refuse the invitation. They therefore put their hands together to cook a delicious menu consisting of Poultry cream or squash cream, a tray of wraps, pork loin in stew, mashed potatoes, in addition to the accompanying vegetables. For dessert, a Napoleon cake or a pudding unemployed are on the menu.
In total, this will allow meals to be distributed at Maison Coup de Pouce (65 boxes of 4 meals each), at the Pointe-du-Lac Popular Education Center (9 meal boxes (6 for two people and 3 for four people). ), and the FAIRE resource (20 meal boxes for 4 people).
“All this would not be possible without the contribution of the four sponsors who responded to the call, namely Le Gourmet Grignotard Market, MV Riviera Distribution, Paral Distribution and Emballages Carrousel,” added Ms. Yannopoulos.
