SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO – Authorities on Tuesday were investigating a homicide-suicide at an apartment in South San Francisco.
Officers were called to the apartment on the 1000 block of Grand Avenue about 3 pm for a report of a suspicious circumstance, the South San Francisco Police Department said in a news release. Family members had received a text message from a relative that led police to believe a homicide had possibly occurred inside the apartment.
During the investigation, officers entered the apartment and found the bodies of a man and a woman, police said.
“The investigation determined the deaths were a result of a homicide-suicide,” police said.
The man was the tenant of the apartment and the woman was his acquaintance, police said. Police did not release any other information.
