OAKLAND – One person was taken to a hospital after an injury shooting in an East Oakland neighborhood, authorities said Tuesday.
In a statement, police said officers responded just after 3:40 pm to reports of ShotSpotter activity in the 2300 block of 84th Avenue near Dowling Street.
When officers arrived, they found a person suffering from at least one gunshot wound. They provided him medical care alongside paramedics and Oakland Fire Department firefighters before taking them to an area hospital.
The victim’s condition was not immediately available Tuesday night.

For information leading to the arrest of a suspect, police are offering up to $ 5,000 in the shooting.
