Good news for pickleball and badminton fans. Following the repair work of the simple gymnasium of the Complexe sportif Alphonse-Desjardins (CSAD), the pickleball and badminton courts are once again accessible.
The gymnasium closed since this summer for pyrrhotite work has been available since December 12.
The work allowed the installation of a new floor covering. The CSAD took the opportunity to develop four sites compared to two in the past.
Singles pickleball and badminton are permitted in these times of pandemic. The Alphonse-Desjardins Sports Complex has implemented a sanitary protocol including an electrostatic disinfection process to maximize the safety of participants.
A reservation is necessary and must be made by phone at 819 373-5121 ext 0. The reservation blocks are 50 minutes and a complete disinfection is done between each rental.
Considering the pandemic and the limitations of singles play, the rental cost has been temporarily lowered to $ 20.
Rackets and pickleballs will be loaned free of charge if needed.
In addition to these two activities, the Complexe sportif Alphonse-Desjardins has recently offered free skating sessions (Saturday and Sunday), access to the running track (every day) and the rental of platforms for family bubbles ( ice, synthetic and multisport surface) with a free system of loan of varied equipment ideal for young families or people wishing to vary the activities.
