The Board of Directors of the Club de Soccer de Trois-Rivières (CSTR), through its president Simon Therrien, announced the hiring of Joe E. Landé as technical director. Mr. Landé therefore succeeds Shany Black, who had been in office since the club’s merger.
Also being the head coach of the UQTR Patriots since the winter of 2018, Shany Black combined the requirements of the university level with those of the CSTR and it is an advanced studies project that pushed her thinking. In the end, he will nevertheless remain as a coach at the club and in support of its development structure.
The newcomer to the position of technical director, Mr. Landé, arrives in Mauricie with a well-stocked curriculum vitae. In addition to a career as a professional player, we find experience as technical director of the clubs of Mascouche, Mont-Bruno and Varennes, as well as of the ARS Lanaudière, known as being a power within the regional associations.
He will take office at the start of the new year.
In the wake of a restructuring, the CSTR also confirmed the appointment of Sylvain Gervais to the post of general manager. Active as a trainer and member of the board of directors within the CSTR for more than fifteen years, Mr. Gervais has also evolved at the professional level in the management and project management spheres. By taking this position within the club, he will be able to combine his passion for soccer with his management skills.
