The POP Museum offers Trifluviens the opportunity to see part of the exhibition Change the world, one work at a time from the outside, from the large windows on the front of the museum.
Change the world, one work at a time is a popular education and citizen participation project through engaged art. Coordinated by the In-Terre-Actif Network, youth sector of the Solidarity Committee / Trois-Rivières, it allows participants to speak out and get involved in various social and global issues.
This exhibition was to be presented in a room of the POP Museum. However, the pandemic forced the closure of the institution during the period when it was to be on view.
“This artistic initiative has been presented at the Museum for several years and the team found it particularly unfortunate not to be able to show it this year, given all the work it represents for the students! By placing it in the windows, it gives it good visibility and people from Trois-Rivières will be able to see it from the outside, by window-shopping… in complete safety, ”says Valérie Therrien, Executive Director of the POP Museum.
In addition, thanks to the CultureGO application, developed by the company Rum & Code, as part of the Muséolab and in partnership with the DigiHub in Shawinigan, visitors will be able, using a QR code, to access the titles of works and their descriptions.
The exhibit will be lit at all times and on view until the end of January.
